Vocabulary with iPads for comprehension
Here are a few apps that can be used in a classroom center to visually represent vocabulary.
Hello Crayons- can be used to draw a picture of the vocabulary word
Camera- can be used to take a photo of the word, example of the word, or students acting out the meaning of the word
Popplet Lite- can be used to bring multiple examples of one vocabulary word together with text, drawing, photos in a graphic organizer
Shadow Puppet EDU- can be used to create a short video using text, photos, video, audio, and a pointer tool
SeeSaw Class- can be used to create, but we will use this to submit examples we create today
Charades Kids- FYI- This app has adds, I would pay the $0.99 to remove them. The Heads Up Game is very popular. Why not try it with vocabulary. Students can add their own vocabulary set and play charades. You can also do this tech free with index cards.
