eBooks for Everyone
1. wegivebooks - You will find amazing eBooks to read with your students. Create an account and begin to enjoy free eBooks that will work on your laptop and computer. eBooks have an age recommendation, easy search options, and there are titles available in Spanish.
2. OPEN Library - Create an account and have access to many eBooks. Check them out, create lists to make it easy to locate your favorite titles. eBooks from the OPEN Library will work on the computer and iPad.
3. MeeGenius - MeeGenius offers a few free eBooks and a subscription for more. You will find 5 free eBooks that include audio. MeeGenius will work on the iPad and computer.
4. StoryLineOnline - StoryLine Online is a collection of great books that are being read aloud. The Screen Actors Guild Foundation records well-know actors reading children's books and makes graphically dynamic videos so that children around the world can be read to with just a click of a Storyline Online video book image. An activity guide is available for each book. StoryLine Online works on the computer and iPad.
5. Read To Me - Read To Me is a collection of great books that are being read aloud by readers and actors. Teachers will find lesson plans for each book. Read to me stories require Flash and will work on the computer and laptop.
6. Storynory - Free audio stories. Look on the top and select "Stories" to select from original stories, fairytales, classic audio books, educational stories, myths and world stories, junior stories, and poems and music.
7. EPIC! eReader App - Here is a great collection of eBooks that are FREE for educators. You will need an iPad to use EPIC! and share great books with your students. This is also a great resource to share with parents and families. With a promo code you share with parents, the family will gain free access for 2 months.
8. Hallmark Book Apps - Scooby Do Who are You?, Abigail and the Balance Beam, Jingle All the Way, Bell's Big Move, Posey and the Princess Castle, Mason's New Friends - These book apps are complete stories that include audio, recording, puzzles and games. Consider using this in a center for lower grades to listen to a story, 2-5th could be the narrators of the story. These apps will work on the iPad.
9. Reading Rainbow App - Select five free books to use with your students. Books in this app have a read to me feature. If you would like access to all books, you will need to subscribe.
10. Toy Story Read Along Book App -A fun Disney Toy Story Book App that includes audio with highlighted text, a record feature, and fun games.
11. Starring You Story Books -If you are a teacher, you can apply for free access to Storybots learning resources! Triple YAY!!!!
12. Woody's Aqua Adventure iBook - Disney's Toy Story characters are on another adventure in this free story. No audio is available for this iBook.
13. The Three Little Pigs Book App - Interactive Story that has a different outcome that most versions of the Three Little Pig Story. This story includes audio.
